This is a checklist to assist ChannelEngine customers with the Zalando integration.

The following tips can help you during the onboarding, and before the activation of the channel. Make sure that you have taken care of all the points listed below so you can go live with Zalando.
Setting up products
- Grandparents, parents, and child relationships - must be enabled to export to the desired countries. Make sure you are not only exporting the child products, but have also enabled the grandparent and parent products.
- Prices - must consist only of values. E.g.: 50, instead of 50€ or EUR 50. If you add the currency, the price is rejected by Zalando.
- Categories - must be added on the grandparent, parent, and child levels.
- Materials (applies only to clothing) - if you are selling clothes on Zalando, you must provide the materials in separate fields. Note that, when it comes to the Material percentage, you only provide the value, not the percentage.
- Material code 1: polyester
- Material code 2: cotton
- Material percentage 1: 20
- Material percentage 2: 80
- Size chart - must be mapped on the grandparent level too, not only on the child level. Zalando matches this relationship on the model of the product, not on its size.
- Colors - must be mapped on the parent level too, not only on the child level. Zalando sets up the parents based on their colors, not on the sizes or models.
- Required fields - each one of the categories contains different required fields. Check out Zalando's Mapping guide - mandatory article information and make sure that all required fields are mapped before activating the channel. This prevents delays with the validations.
Note that you can update prices incrementally by no more than 79% of the current price at once (i.e.: you can reduce the prices by 79%, then again by 79%, and so on). Zalando's system blocks any price change higher than 79%.
- Track-and-trace information - make sure that all orders have tracking codes, which must be available and visible within ChannelEngine.
- Test order - if you are conducting a test order for a country in which multiple languages are available, make sure to provide the documentation in both languages. E.g.: a test order for Belgium with a Dutch address must contain the documentation in Dutch and in French. This only applies to the test order, not to the live orders.
