ChannelEngine: Ideas Board
About this article
This article describes ChannelEngine's Ideas Board, and how to use it.
As ChannelEngine grows and its products evolve, it becomes more and more important to take customers' and partners' feedback into account when planning features.
ChannelEngine's Ideas Board was created to provide customers and partners with a platform for that kind of feedback, as well as the ability to look into what features are already planned – and which ones have already been launched.
How to use ChannelEngine's Ideas Board
Before submitting a new idea to ChannelEngine's Ideas Board, make sure to go through the existing ideas across the Under consideration, Planned, and Launched tabs. After all, you are more likely to see an idea implemented if it is supported by multiple people.
If you do find an idea similar to yours, click on it and back it by selecting one of the options available – listed in ascending order of importance: Nice-to-have, Important, and Critical. The 'person' icon at the top right corner of the existing idea shows how many people have already backed it. Clicking on the 'share' icon to the left of the backers count allows you to share that idea.
If you do not see any ideas similar to what you want to propose, click on the + Submit idea button at the top right corner of the screen.
The following input must be provided when submitting a new idea:
- Text field - describe your idea, focusing on the problem you would like to see solved – rather than how you would do it. If you have a relevant example that can help you describe the idea, make sure to mention it. Note that, although you can submit an idea in a language other than English, all input is translated to English – and all communication regarding submitted ideas is also in English.
- Priority - rate the importance of your idea, from Nice-to-have to Critical.
- Email address - enter your email address, so the Product team can ask questions about your idea and keep you updated about its status. Your email address is kept private, and not used in any other way.
When you are done, click on Submit. Note that all submitted ideas are moderated before they appear on the Ideas Board. If you do not see your idea immediately, check again after a couple of days.
