ChannelEngine: release notes
About this document
This document describes ChannelEngine's releases, and where to find each release's notes.
Table of contents
ChannelEngine has a three-weekly release cycle for new features and large code changes. Two of these three weeks are dedicated to the development of new features, while the third week is dedicated to deploying the new code, as well as innovation projects and debugging.
Critical and high-impact issues are fixed regardless of this schedule, via hotfixes.
Once a release is deployed on our servers, the related notes are added to the ChannelEngine interface. You can read them by selecting the gift box, on the top toolbar.
The gift box icon is visible for seven days, following the release. After this period the icon disappears, but the release notes remain accessible in the top right corner menu, under your ChannelEngine user name. Select What's new.
When you select it, a breakdown of the changes is shown under each release. Bug fixes are labeled as Fix. By scrolling down that page you can see the release notes dating all the way to 2019's Snowy, which was ChannelEngine's first release with release notes.
As of August 2021, ChannelEngine's releases are named after the many moons in the Solar System. Before this, they were named after space missions. From 2017 to October 2020, the releases were named after the French revolutionary calendar.
